Happy Friday! A work trip took me to NYC this week, which was fun -- but I am so happy to be back in Boston. New York is one of those places that's exciting to visit, but it's almost equally exciting to put in the rear view (of the train, in my case). Happy to be home as fall seems to have descended on our city just this morning. Here's what I'm loving this week.
Reading: Today Will Be Different by Maria Semple. This came off the hold list on my library app, and I'm excited to break it open on tomorrow's anticipated rainy Saturday. I loved Where'd You Go, Bernadette so much and have been excited to read this next volume of Semple's.
Thinking: About a year ago, I spent a hot minute working out of WeWork in the Seaport. I stumbled upon this piece on WeWork and the Future of Work in The Atlantic and wonder how the workplace as we know it will change in the (not so distant) future.
Anticipating: Got a book rec this morning from one of my favorite sources: The Skimm! Adding Stay With Me to my list.
Making: One of our most exciting wedding gifts was a ravioli maker attachment for our KitchenAid. We've deemed the aforementioned rainy Saturday the perfect day to break this bad boy out. My husband has three types of ravioli planned. I'm dying to try this recipe -- how good does this look?
Playing: We're going to my grandmother-in-law's 95th (!) birthday party on Sunday, and I can't wait. If you have any recommendations for how to make a great slideshow on a Mac, I'm all ears!
Have a wonderful weekend!
